Bad
Make a voluntary militia force. Joining is recommended but not forced. They fight for their home in times of need, despite them having other jobs.

Start training them under my wing to make them as professional as possible, though attending training sessions is not mandatory.

I believe we have drills now, though I may be wrong.
If so, start building up drills to maximize our production of metals.
Also, have the blacksmiths work on making Grape Coins whenever they have the chance, as in free of other work.
Que up the researc of a mechanical elephant to be used as a tank of sorts on the battlefield.

Lol no fgt. Still three turns.
Your Blacksmiths will eventually run out of materials to produce Grape Coins but up until then, you produce $20 Grapish Coins p/t.
You'll have to figure out the factors for the mechanical elephant. The corridors are twenty feet tall, ten feet wide, and the smallest corridor is seventeen feet long. [V = lxwxh - 17(10)x20 = 4913000 ft3.] The elephant will have to be smaller than the specifications provided for your calculations.
