Movies, stories, and video games depict heroes delving into underground bases forged by the forces of evil, taking down the evil minions of dark sorcerers and gods with rewards of gold, equipment, and glory. But there is more to being a hero than slaying evil goblins and taking down dragons.
Welcome to the world of Dungeoneering.
-
The world of Gerus was a time bomb, and it was only a matter of time before it exploded. Rivaling kingdoms were constantly battling against one another, and evil forces were growing in their underground dungeons. But when it finally exploded, no one was aware of just how catastrophic the results would be. Entire civilizations faded from existence, and the population of the world was reduced by nearly half. The Lich released a horde of evil minions unto the world, and plagues consumed the citizens of this world. The world was in need of the mightiest heroes in the land, and you are your band of dungeoneers were those heroes.
Many have succumbed to your sword and shield, perhaps your bow and arrow, or maybe even your hand and staff. It matters not, because you were the last hope of this world. Succeeding would mean wealth for generations to come, glory for life, power of a king!
But if you failed, the land would be plunged into an era of chaos, with your body being nothing but a forgotten corpse in a trench of rotting flesh bags. The choice is yours, hero.

This roleplay is more about the hardships of being a hero than actually being a hero - disease and abandonment runs rampant in your band of heroes, and if you are unable to keep a stable group of heroes then you will fall to the might of the Lich, and the world's fate will be sealed. There are multiple health statuses:
Healthy
Wounded
Dying
Dead
There are also various other side effects:
Bleeding
Cold/Frozen
Hot/Burning
Stunned/Paralyzed
Sick
The following are the available classes:
Knight: Bearing sword and shield, hammer and dagger - no matter the combo, these armor clad warriors are feared across the land. What they lack in ranged combat they make up for in short ranged combat, being able to break down their enemies will and make them fear your name. Are able to wield any type of melee weapon imaginable.
Archer: Ranged and deadly, archers the ones that stay on the back lines and lay down covering fire with their bows and crossbows. Crossing one's path while they are primed to fire is deadly. While carrying only a small dagger, the archer heroes have the quickest draw in the land - increasing their deadliness.
Wizard: Melee and range, wizards are the most powerful class easily. They utilize magic to their every whim, and normallyly each wizard specializes in a specific type of magic. But be warned; once out of mana, these warriors are nearly useless. Only 1 per team.
Character Sheet:
[Should be done four times for every hero. Every party has 4 heroes at start.]
