So, I already know I'm going to transfer AGE over here at some point and continue it. However, after playing The Witcher a lot, I've also considered creating an alternate version of AGE, though not called such.
It would work the same basic way, though set in a medieval-fantasy world where contracts are based upon monsters/creatures more often than not. There would still be the shop, a standard HQ and everything, but it would be more of merc-styled weaponry rather than assassin.
Also keeping in mind that, just as AGE is loosely based upon Hitman, though not Hitman in itself, this would be loosely based upon The Witcher, but it wouldn't be The Witcher. Seem like an interesting idea, or should I just focus on AGE?

Whelp, AGE is now back up and running. And looking at the poll, I'm thinking I can start planning this project as well.
Anyone have ideas for names? I can't just call it "Fantasy AGE", after all. (It's already odd enough referring to it as BC AGE, haha.)

Hehehe, my bad.
Should I feature multiple races for different strengths/weaknesses? And should I include magic? For the money system: Standard gold coins? Or the standard Copper -> Silver -> Gold coins?

(i think it should be light magic like enchantments and stuff but no straight up wizards with lightning firestorms
cool monsters)

So paladin or cleric/battle priest type of magic? (Which would pretty much be smiting unholy creatures, though not necessarily a beast, or enchanting weaponry/buffing allies.)

I'm also thinking of special requests, where a King or Lord may request to hire our mercenary crew. This would be a contract consisting of most, if not all, members of the sub-board with a high chance of death, but very high payout if successful completion. Pretty much full-out warfare against other sentient armies.
(In these cases, deaths would have no penalty. Any dead and surviving members split the final rewards, which would be hefty, and there is no penalty cost for a revival.)

(i always thought death would be cool for these kinda things
like you kept gold to buy new gear but had to make a new character)

I think advanced arcane magic should be a thing in your setting, albeit very rare and hard to obtain. But that's just my opinion. As for names, you should have at least some of it written/planned out before you decide. Much easier that way.

Eh, I figured using the same system of AGE, in which we just retrieve your body and bring you back, resulting in a failure of the contract and a slight monetary penalty to cover any medical costs.

Why am i using parenthesis?
The RP could be called God, Gold, and Glory. I always thought that was a good name for something.

Conspiracy theory: you're actually in a simulation for the actual AGE

For magic, what about this; Mercs can buy staves and such with minimal, or even nonexistant, until spell tomes are read (and destroyed) to learn how to use different skills with such weapons. Eh?
