"The machine does not isolate man from the great problems of nature but plunges him more deeply into them."
-Antoine de Saint-Exupery
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You're up, jolting upright with startled glances. You are alone. Wait, shit, no you aren't. In in a vast room of reddish walls, reddish machinery, pipes and transparent tubes transporting bizarre fluorescent liquids, you and several others lie prone, each person waking up slowly. You first notice the red. Everything is red. The walls, the pipes, the devices. It's not blood, so that's a positive. Every so often, a garbled voice barks over a hidden intercom. The voice clearly does not belong to a human and speaks with a low, angry grumble, grunting in a language you cannot recognize.
Sounds echo in every direction; above, below, behind you and to the right, as if this place goes on forever. Hisses of steam, the grinding of metal, and the groaning of an overworked engine. It gives the eerie impression of being inside an organism, and listening to its gargantuan heartbeat. That makes you the virus, by the way. A microscopic, foreign body to be eradicated.
You spot a device mounted on the wall. Some sort of identification pad requiring a handprint far too large for a human hand. Beyond the locked door, through a small round window, reveals a massive chamber, easily the size of a town. Numerous bizarre beings patrol the area, armed with large bizarre and unwieldy weapons. The occasional tri-legged robot, hardly a meter in hight (and also red; of course), stumbles around, beeping cheerily.
You stare in awe at this chamber through the window, noticing large circular platforms that rise up and down, located at the other end of the chamber. That is the way out, you decide. There must be a away out of this, all of this. Metal and machinery can only go so far.
You have no idea who you are, or who these other people in the small room are. All that matters is your will to survive and do your part, with others, to bring down the Machine from the inside. Your actions will affect the colossal alien mechanism around you, creating new pathways or options. Simply tearing down everything in a quest to escape will just bring your prison down on top of you, killing you all in fire and steel.
CS: You'll notice it's very straightforward.
Strength (1-10):
Intelligence (1-10):
Will to live (1-10):
Only 22 points can be spent. This number will not increase or decrease, but may receive temporary bonuses or reductions.
Name does not matter. You can choose one later, but a name doesn't help you get out.
You will face monstrous creatures released to destroy you, evade capture from the numerous guards, interfere with powerful systems, and combat the enigmatic beings running this hellish world of red steel and death. You will work together to survive.
Do your part to escape and bring down the Machine.

-Obviously standard RPing rules apply.
-This is story-driven, with an over-arching plot and other shit. Your character will NOT die, unless you for some reason really want him/her to.
-Just because it is a group RP does not mean you have to stick together. Splitting up may occasionally be a wise choice.
-Should you post a CS, you will essentially wake up in a room with other people. You will be treated as unconscious until you post. If you join late into the RP, you will be in a different isolated room, possibly by your lonesome, and will need to be recovered or continue by yourself until you are found by the main group.
