If you're using Windows 8/8.1, I highly recommend you get 10.
If you're using 7, windows 10 is basically the same, but with a worse layout(ew) and, of course, Cortana. For all practical(gaming) purposes, there is almost no difference between Windows 7 and Windows 10(Actually, for gaming, 7 has something like a 0.5% advantage over 10).
I plan to stick with Windows 7 myself.
