"Well, depending on what vehicle we get, you'll probably get the shotgun just so you can defend yourself from anything trying to get into the driver's seat, I'll be guarding you."

"Hmm." Lykos hummed in agreement; a habit he'd had since childhood. "Guess we don't really need a plan. Nick the shotguns, shoot the terrorists. If anything unaccounted for comes up, we can wing it, right?"

"We can make a plan on the go if necessary. For now, I'm going to catch a nap." I say, leaning back and closing my eyes.

Lykos finds ways to idly entertain himself to pass the time.

BOTH:
After a long flight, you are called to attention by the pilot as he looks back at you. "We're approaching touchdown. Be ready in ten." he says simply before turning back ahead. Sure enough, it isn't long before you find yourselves exiting the plan to be greeted by a host of British forces. "Welcome, AGE agents." the obvious man in charge said to you. "You are to assist in transporting this rather exhausting cargo, correct?" he asks, though not waiting for an answer as he led you towards a garage. "Your agency paid a good sum to have vehicles manufactured for you. Thus, we can offer you a BMW Z3, a Jaguar X351, or an Aston Martin DB5; All have been reinforced to resist hostile fire." he says, a slight chuckle with the last one. "Several of the boys are hoping you take the DB5."

"The Jaguar will be best, I think. The harder it is to locate us, the easier a time we'll have. It also looks the toughest, and I think that it will overall be the best choice." I say, nodding to the Jaguar. "Will you have anyone backing us up, or will it just be my partner and I?"

Agent Silence:
"A squad vehicle will be leading in assist. There will also be a couple shotguns aboard the transport vessel; And speaking of which, here's this." he explains, then handing you a Benelli M4 shotgun as well as a small box of ammunition. "Decide who is driving and who is riding... shotgun. Seven tube capacity, aim for the tires."

"It is a lot more subtle," Lykos agreed. "But the Aston Martin.. Hmmmm..." he looked between the two vehicles. "Nah. Let's go with the Jaguar."

"I do like driving.." Lykos muttered to himself, continuing, "but shotguns are nice.." Turning to Silence, he decided, "I'll drive the Jaguar, you can ride shotgun."

BOTH:
The man nods at you both after giving you the shotgun and begins to walk away. "Whenever you're ready, get in your vehicle and get in line." he says. Before long, you notice a large armored van pull up and park by the exit, accompanied by an additional squad vehicle.

Taking the M4 shotgun and giving it to Lykos, I get in the passenger seat. "Shotgun doesn't require aiming, and you have to focus on driving. Anything happens on your side, just point the shotgun at their tires and fire, it should work well enough. I have time to aim." After saying that, I get in the passenger seat of the Jaguar.

"Mm. Thank you." He was a little worried about breaking his arm or whatever, but no matter. There's not time to aim when you're driving. Lykos climbed into the driver's seat of the Jaguar, starting it and driving to the convoy.
(front or back? front would be preferable)

(Front, obviously. Our prisoner is in the back. Or maybe in the armored van, I dunno.)

(Your preference. Do not stray from the convoy and you'll be fine.)
BOTH:
After Agent Lykos grabs the wheel, you both slowly follow the two British vehicles out of the compound, soon taking your position up in front of the line. A short minute into the drive, you hear a voice come over the car's radio. "Taking back-roads will be a 127 mile journey, but I won't risk a firefight bringing harm to public highways. Keep close and keep your eyes open."

Firefights are meant to be in public, they're more interesting that way. No matter, staying on the back roads is still the best choice. But, it will be a long drive.

I acknowledge the moral responsibility of not transporting the prisoner on public highways, but from a purely tactical standpoint, staying on main roads would be better for us. Other cars blocking the way of enemies, easy support by other police and military forces, few downsides other than being unable to spot enemies before they come close. Taking side roads is pretty much exactly the opposite, so at least if we see any other vehicles out here there's a high probability they're coming for our prisoner.

(hmm, if we took the main highways, enemies have to get close. that's why we got SHOTGUNS)

(Oi, this contract is going to be an interesting one. Trust that I wouldn't make it boring if yer getting a weapon out of it.)
BOTH:
About an hour passes since departing from the compound with no other cars having come in site. As Agent Lykos keeps the Jaguar in the front of the line, a pack of trees off the side of the road suddenly explodes, gunfire then quickly erupting from behind you. "RPG! They have a bloody RPG!" you hear voice scream over the radio. "Get by the van, both of you! They won't risk blowing the prisoner." another voice adds in.

"Fuck's sake, they have an RPG. The hell am I supposed to do against an RPG with a bloody shotgun?" Lykos mutters as he pulls next to the van. "If I knew we'd be on back roads, I would've chosen the DB5." He scans for enemies or any other cars.

BOTH:
You can see a pair of silver Audi's following behind the squad car, men with assault rifles leaning out the windows of each. Only after a moment are you able to notice the third vehicle further back, a man poking his head back out the window with an RPG in hand.

Taking careful aim, I fire three rounds at the man with the RPG launcher, then firing another three rounds into the tires, one each, of the vehicles.

(Hey, since Lykos took an extra magazine and two guns, does that mean he gets an extra magazine for each gun?)

"This day just gets better and better. Go for the tires!" Lykos yells. "Obviously." He looks at the shotgun beside him. Less aiming, but he doesn't want to drop it or whatever when he fires it. "Take the shotgun if you want; what'd you expect me to do with it?"

|
|
Post by Benzo Washington on Aug 8, 2015 2:34:38 GMT
(Aye, extra magazine for each gun. He actually incorrectly listed it as accessory, but AGE is still young, so I accepted it.)
Agent Silence:
Aiming for the RPG launcher, you score a hit to his chest, causing him to flinch back as he pulled the trigger. Your third shot takes him down. Before you turn to shoot the wheels of the vehicles, the RPG flies forward to hit the back-end of the British squad vehicle, causing it to swerve before rolling and hitting one of the Audi's.
[6 of 10 rounds remaining in magazine. 16 rounds remaining total.]
